DJ Jimmy

DJ Jimmy got the Community Radio bug early at his High School FM Station in the 1970s and just might have gone into broadcasting. Instead, he joined the U.S. Navy and DJ’d at Base NCO Clubs and parties. Fast forward to the present, DJ Jimmy has been a longtime volunteer and most recently, a Substitute Programmer at WMNF, hosting The Morning Show, It’s the Music, Traffic Jam, Surface Noise, Saturday Soulful Soirée, The WMNF 60’s Show and others.

Tune in to DJ Jimmy on Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM for It’s The Music Thursday.

Hey Jimmy! Whatever show you are filling in for is a pleasure to listen to. Recently heard Soulful Soirée this past Saturday and you nailed it what a great selection of tunes! I’ll be listening on Thursdays or catching you on the archives. I lived in Tampa but moved to Buffalo NY and still listen through the app. Keep on doing what you’re doing! Thanks!

Ways to listen

WMNF is listener-supported. That means we don't advertise like a commercial station, and we're not part of a university.

Ways to support

WMNF volunteers have fun providing a variety of needed services to keep your community radio station alive and kickin'.
