Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Wednesday) | Listen to this entire show:
This Thursday, Aug. 16, the Hillsborough County Commission will revisit the issue of whether there should be a county agency which regulates wetlands.
Developers and big land owners are trying to end local oversight.
On this program we heard excerpts of public comment from the July 26th, 2007, EPC meeting on the future of wetlands protection. Those comments included statements from environmentalists, residents, engineers, and builders.
This program also featured interviews with two environmentalists, Mariella Smith and Dee Layne, who are trying to preserve the county's wetlands oversight.
