A conservation group yesterday included the St. Johns River on its annual list of the most threatened rivers in the nation.
American Rivers said the stateâ€™s longest river could be robbed of much of its water in a misguided attempt to quench â€œthe unending thirst of out of control development â€œ in Florida.
Andrew Fahlund is vice president for Conservation at American Rivers. He told WMNF why taking the water out of the St. Johnâ€™s would be so calamitous.
