Paving Paradise: Vanishing wetlands
WELCOME TO RADIOACTIVITY. IâM ROB LOREI. Coming up today, weâll hear from two local authors who have written a new book about Floridaâs vanishing wetlands. And later weâll hear from anti-genocide activist John Prendergast.
When European settlers first came to Florida- up to three quarters of Floridaâs 35 million acres were under water at least part of the year. Whatâs happened to those wetlands is the subject of a new book called Paving Paradise: Florida's Vanishing Wetlands and the Failure of No Net Loss.
Our guests are the authors Craig Pittman and Mathew Waite who are staff writers for the St. Petersburg Times.comments powered by Disqus
