Hometown Democracy is the proposed amendment to Florida's Constitution that would allow voters to decide on changes to local comprehensive plans. It's on the ballot this November. Two weeks ago we heard from supporters. Now we'll hear from opponents. Ryan Houck is executive director of Citizens for Lower Taxes and a Stronger Economy (http://www.Florida2010.org) and Ward Friszolowski is former mayor of St. Petersburg Beach.

Where's the counterpoint show?

The original debate on RadioActivity was fascinating--a great show and fair to both sides. Then this one only had the opponents as guest! What's up with that? Can only conclude that you received some heavy pressure from moneyed interests. Now, for journalism's as well as the station's name sake, will you do another show that has one or two wellspoken proponents of the Hometown Democracy amendment? Houck and Friszolowski were many times disingenous if not outright repeating untruths, which when they are consciously repeated, are called "lies". To end the discussion of this crucial issue with this show would besmirch any community station's mission
