Good morning, welcome to Radioactivity. I’m Rob Lorei. Coming up today we’ll hear excerpts of some of the speeches from last night’s opening session of the Democratic National Convention. But first – is the Hillsborough Environmental Protection Commission in danger of being done away with?

Later in the show we’ll hear a brand new song from Bob Dylan’s Tempest album which is coming out next Tuesday.

But first- we’re joined by local attorney Pamela Jo Hatley who was appointed earlier by Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner to what’s called the Economic Prosperity Stakeholder Committee- to review land development regulations with the intention of promoting economic prosperity. But there are fears that the real purpose of the committee is to do away with environmental protection regulations in Hillsborough County….(The Hillsborough County Commission will discuss this issue tomorrow at 11AM and public comment will be taken before that at 9AM).

(Music interlude: Bob Dylan “Duquesne Whistle” from his forthcoming Tempest album) 1. Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland… 2. Stacy Lihn, of Phoenix, mother of Zooey Lihn, 3. Deval Patrick, governor of Massachussetts….
