Polk Sheriff sued over detaining juveniles in adult jail; Judd responds

Today the Southern Poverty Law Center announced it is filing a lawsuit against the Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd because the county detains children as young as 10 years old in the jail designed for adults.

We interviewed Julie Ebenstein, policy and advocacy counsel at the ACLU of Florida, which also opposes keeping juveniles in adult jails and Polk Sheriff Grady Judd, who says the Southern Poverty Law Center’s lawsuit is unwarranted.
