For years, conservative Christians have claimed there is a war on Christmas - arguing that too many people insist on using the monicker "Happy Holiday" instead of "Merry Christmas." Now many retailers in a push to bring in even more holiday revenue are opting to stay open on Thanksgiving to start their doorbuster savings before the Turkey's even out of the oven.

Today in downtown Tampa, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals passed out free vegan turkeys to passers by in hopes of promoting a meatless Thanksgiving.
