It’s officially summer!
Even though the calendar would say otherwise, once Memorial Day has passed… it’s on!
I don’t know what you have planned for your summer, but I hope you plan to take, at least, the next few days to make a contribution to WMNF.
Yes, WMNF is kicking off summer 2018 with a fund drive May 30-June 6.
Now, I could tell you that your summer would be a bummer without WMNF providing the soundtrack to your summer fun.
Or that this particular summer you need all the fact-based news and information you can use because the news cycle that began in November 2016 shows no sign of taking a summer vacation.
I could tell you that… or I could just tell you this.
WMNF is a community radio station that gets 70% of its funding from its listeners. This summer fund drive is one of the times when we ask for that support.
I will also tell you this. I am proud to ask you for that support. (which you can do right here)
WMNF delivers completely unique, local radio in a time when that is becoming a scarce commodity.
WMNF listens to its listeners. You call our studios and someone is going to answer. You send an email and someone is going to answer. You have a question for me…. I will do my best to give you an answer.
In a time when community is more important than ever, I think that is more than worth your support. Make a pledge. Pick up a lovely parting gift if you like.
But the important thing is that you support the last real local radio station in Tampa Bay!
