In 1937, 5,000 women from Ybor City marched down 7th Avenue in Ybor City to protest the rise of fascism abroad and in the U.S. This is a fight we should remember in light of current political events in Florida.
All are welcome for this special Women’s History Month event to celebrate these women, a new historical marker, and a historic mural on 7th Avenue in Ybor. We’ll commemorate their activism and their resistance at the Cuban Club on Thursday, March 30th.
