The 21st Annual Walk for Epilepsy (Tampa) will be held at the University of South Florida Track & Field Stadium on Saturday, March 28.
The Walk begins at 8:45 a.m.
The Post Walk party begins at 9:15 a.m.
The “Walk” is about our kids, teens, and young adults with epilepsy and their families. First and foremost, we want to increase awareness about their medical condition and the challenges, fears, and hopes they and their families face on a daily basis. There are approximately 16,000 kids, teens, and young adults living in six counties surrounding Tampa whose lives are affected by seizures. We need people to have a better understanding of what epilepsy is and address the myths and misunderstandings that surround this condition.
Secondly, we hold the “Walk” to raise money to provide the services we offer our families. You can show your support by asking family members, friends, soccer and football teams, school service clubs, businesses, and co-workers to sponsor our event or join us at one of the “Walks” in Pinellas County (March 7) or Hillsborough County (March 28). Please wear something purple.
