The League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area and the St. Petersburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority are sponsoring a Discussion of Race & Politics: The Whitewashing of the Suffrage Movement. Following a presentation, facilitators will guide discussion on the topic, its relevance in today’s world, and honest conversations about the deeply rooted effects of institutional and systemic racism in our community.
It is through open-minded and safe discussions among women and the community that we can forge forward together in the struggle, with knowledge and power.
