Share

There will be an evening of unity, enlightenment, music and food as Pinellas Remembers Community Remembrance Project Coalition celebrates its accomplishments and what come next. Special guest, Eric Deggans, is NPR’s first full-time TV critic and a contributor and media analyst for MSNBC/NBC News. A journalist with a 20-year history as Tampa Bay Times TV/Media Critic, Deggans is the author of Race Baiter: How the Media Wields Dangerous Words to Divide a Nation.  The book examines the ways in which modern media fuels some elements of prejudice, racism and sexism. A Meet & Mingle will be 5:30pm – 6:30pm, and the program starts at 6:30pm.
