On Wednesday, January 17 at 6 pm, H. James Brownlee, Jr. MD, will discuss the joys and challenges of living in Florida when it comes to allergies. He will share tips on how to deal with a variety of allergies, including how to save money in practical ways while treating your allergies. This seminar is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg.
Dr. Brownlee, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida (USF), College of Medicine in Tampa, is an experienced family doctor and allergy-sufferer, himself. He served as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at USF from 1992 to December 2011, after which he served as the Medical Director of the Executive Health Center at USF Health until August 2015 when he retired. Currently he works at Bayfront Health Family Medicine Residency. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States, including on cruise ships, and his writings have been published in numerous journals, books, and on electronic media.
This seminar is part of the Beach Drive Forums, a series of community conversations on thought-provoking topics, offered by First Presbyterian Church. Guest speakers and relevant subject matter are featured in these programs which are open to the public.
