CALENDAR — Upcoming on Music of the Isles …
10/5-11. We’re featuring live recordings by artists from the stage of Celtic Colours Festival, an annual gathering in Cape Breton of folk performers from across the world.
10/12-18. This week along with our fair share of sharing contemporary releases, we shine a spotlight on a set of songs from Pentangle’s 1969 LP Basket of Light.
10/19-25. James Keelaghan turns 65 this month! To celebrate we’ll be playing his music, yet to place Keelaghan among the pantheon of great Canadian songwriters, we’ll set his recordings alongside fellow stellar Canadian artists, David Francey, Lennie Gallant, and Leonard Cohen.
10/26-11/1. In the Halloween spirit, we’re featuring songs of Ghosts this week.
11/2-8. Tune in for “McTELL COVERED, a Tribute to Ralph McTell as Songwriter with Celtic artists covering his classics.”
