Hosted by
Reverend Billy C. Wirtz

Rev. Billy C. Wirtz has been hosting the Rhythm Revival as a podcast and on several FM stations over the years. In 2014, he became a member of the WMNF family. Featuring music, history, and his own back stories from 30 years on the road as traveling musician, Wirtz approaches the Roots music he loves with "irreverent reverence." Blues, Gospel, Country and that which defies genre are all part of the weekly musical smack down. Amen!

Hosted by
"Marvelous Marvin" Boone

“Marvelous Marvin” is the son of former deejay Marvin Boone, Sr., a man who couldn’t stand the new music called rock ‘n’ roll back in 1955 so he moved into news. While working at Cleveland’s WHK, Marvin Sr. introduced his son to Don Imus and some others there who he hoped would talk him out of going into the radio business. But the effort didn’t work.
After graduating from the Ohio School of Broadcasting, Boone has professionally hosted shows on several FM stations for the past 40+ years, all of those in the Tampa Bay market. He has been volunteering at WMNF for 40 years, going back to the 60's show with Linda Lu & the Rebel, the Blues show with The Soulman, Bob Scheir, & is currently on The Rhythm Revival.

Ways to listen

WMNF is listener-supported. That means we don't advertise like a commercial station, and we're not part of a university.

Ways to support

WMNF volunteers have fun providing a variety of needed services to keep your community radio station alive and kickin'.
