Booker Creek: Past, Present, Future

Share

Booker Creek runs through downtown St. Petersburg and into the heart of the city’s history. Along its path by Tropicana Field, the creek once passed by the Gas Plant and Campbell Park neighborhoods, African-American communities razed for Interstate 175 and Tropicana Field. This community conversation will share insights from historian Gwendolyn Reese, Rev. Jana Hall-Perkins (McCabe United Methodist Church) and EDGE Business District Executive Director Association Barbara Voglewede. Panelists will share their thoughts on past, present and planned communities along Booker Creek, then invite the public for further conversation
