BIO:

Rachel Lynn & Walking Iris:

Rachel Lynn, is an award winning songwriter and recording artist from Detroit, Michigan.  Rachel’s musical talent is impressive.  Her rhythm guitar playing is soulful and expressive. Her arrangements are tasteful and dynamic.  She combines a wide variety of musical styles from folk to blues to jazz to country, a truly unique sound that is at once both modern and timeless.

Here’s what one fan from Detroit has to say about Lynn’s music: “What I love most about Rachel’s music is its authenticity and raw emotional power. Her lyrics are deeply personal and introspective, exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Her voice conveys a sense of vulnerability and honesty that is both refreshing and inspiring.”

From Colorado to Michigan to Florida and just about everywhere in between, Lynn has shared music with fans across the country in small venues, on beaches, at large festivals, around campfires, in houses, and even on mountains.  Her live performances are rare as she spends the majority of her time right now writing and recording music

Fun Fact:  Lynn was fortunate enough to have her song selected to be used in a film- starring Dennis Quaid (The Horsemen 2009). She was recording her song “The Last Time We Talked,” in a studio in Ann Arbor, MI when a music supervisor from California walked in and her song caught his ear.

Here are a few of the venues Rachel Lynn has performed at:

Gasparilla Music Festival, Tampa, FL; Americana Festival, Tampa, FL; Detroit Country Music Festival, Detroit, MI; Bluebird Cafe, Nashville, TN; Broken String Fling, Brooksville, FL; Gram Parsons Derry Down, Winter Haven, FL; Orange Blossom Revue Festival, Lake Wales, FL.

WALKING IRIS:

Rachel Lynn is joined by McKayla Townsend & Pat Beach in the second half of the concert.

Walking Iris isn’t just any other new project in the Saint Pete/Tampa area.  The trio is inspiring in a way you haven’t felt in music in a while.  These experienced and adventuresome songwriters, will walk you down many a sunny lane, but they’ll also often take you along with them on some deeper, more reflective paths into some often darker journeys. All to reveal in lyrics and sound, that beauty still emanates no matter your situation.
