Tampa Bay Sierra Club supports ferry despite concerns about terminal in preserve

Hillsborough County may consider a high-speed ferry linking MacDill Air Force Base with communities in the south county where many workers live.

Last month one environmental group, Audubon Florida, criticized the plan because a terminal is proposed for reclaimed wetlands in the Schultz Preserve.

But now, the chair of another group, the Tampa Bay Sierra Club’s Kent Bailey, tells WMNF they support the proposed ferry across Tampa Bay.
