On February 19th, the Election and Voter Protection team of the League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area (LWVSPA) will present a screening of the documentary “Suppressed: The Fight to Vote,” which looks at the obstacles Georgia voters faced at the polls in 2018, including polling place closures, voting roll purges, voter ID issues, and more, all of which disproportionately affected people of color and students.
Attendees will learn more about how they can get involved with Election and Voter Protection, and they will learn what they can do to ensure their friends and families are able to vote and have their votes counted.
