Some area students are holding an anti-war teach-in at the University of South Florida this week. The Books Not Bombs teach-in on Wednesday is focused on ties between USF and the U.S. military. Andrew Curry is a member of the USF SDS; Students for a Democratic Society. He’s a student at St. Petersburg College and helping to organize the teach-in.

update: In a press release on 11 February, SDS wrote:

“For the next year, Tampa SDS’s campaign will be to end the military’s presence on USF campus, with tactics of direct action and disruption. We will also be building up for a rally against the USF Board of Trustees in March, demanding the revocation of these Memorandums of Understanding.”
