Share

Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei speaks to ACLU’s Michael Barfield about police surveillance in Sarasota. The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida is suing the city of Sarasota for information from the police department about cell phone surveillance equipment called StingRay.

The StingRay devices are used by law enforcement to get cell phone signals and track the movements of phones. They often capture innocent bystanders, and legal questions about the technology are being raised across the country.

Later on the show, Rob airs videos from Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, a soldier held captive for 5 years in Afghanistan, who was released Saturday by the Taliban.
