Alternative “Ferguson Black Grand Jury” recommends indictment for officer who killed Michael Brown

Last year the grand jury in Missouri hearing evidence about the death of Michael Brown did not indict the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed the teenager; so the black community gathered together its own grand jury last weekend.

St. Petersburg resident Penny Hess is chair of the African Peoples Solidarity Committee and traveled to Missouri last weekend to participate in what was called the Black People’s Grand Jury.
