Bike Walk Tampa Bay on the Sustainable Living Program

Share

On Monday’s Sustainable Living program we spent the hour talking with several guests on the topic of biking and walking in the Tampa Bay Area.

March is Bike Month here in Florida and a researcher from the Center for Urban Transportation at USF, Julie Bond, joined the show. Julie’s the founder of Tampa BayCycle and involved with many other biking and walking friendly groups.

Also joining us was a very special guest, Jane Castor. Jane has just retired as chief of the Tampa Police Department and recently became the Chair for the newly formed Regional Coalition Bike Walk Tampa Bay.

In addition, from the other side of the Bay we had the founder of the St. Petersburg Bike Co-op. Carrie Waite. At the start of the show we did a short segment on new bike safety, comfort, and engineering features with a manager at the University Bike Center in Tampa, Adam Harris.

You can listen back to this and any of our shows over on the listen on demand area to the right.
