Can Tampa Bay learn a lesson from Phoenix on mass transit?

Share

Today on Radioactivity, Host Rob Lorei discusses the future of mass transit in the Tampa Bay Area with Don Kueth, President of the Phoenix Community Alliance, whose push for mass transit in Phoenix failed several times before finally passing in 2000. Hillsborough rejected a referendum to increase the sales tax by one penny in order to improve public transportation in 2010; Pinellas did the same last month. Kueth will be meeting with local leaders in Pinellas to discuss how light rail was able to pass in Phoenix.
