Climate Change Marches & Electric Dragster on the Sustainable Living Show

Share

On today’s Sustainable Living Program (11/23/15) we started with an unusual topic for sustainability: drag racing. Our first guest was Big Daddy Don Garlits and mainly we talked about his 1,500 KW (2000hp) electric powered dragster. This really turned out to be a great interview with an old school icon and his vision for the future of electric cars.

Then we talked about a couple of upcoming local Climate Change Marches in conjunction with the Global Climate March on November 28th. Our guests were Kent Bailey with the Sierra Club and Andrew Root with the Florida Community of Mindfulness. Both quests talked very passionately about our future on this very perfect, but fragile planet! The Climate March in Downtown St. Petersburg will be at Straub Park starting at 11AM on November 28th and the Florida Community of Mindfulness March will be at their headquarters: 6501 N Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, starting at 1:30 on November 29th.
