Jeb Bush is kicking off a tour of Florida, South Carolina and New Hampshire, trying to jump-start his slumping campaign.

A handful of local elected officials were among the crowd of about 250 people squeezed into the reception hall of the Tampa Garden Club on Bayshore Blvd Monday morning.

Some prominent Florida politicians took to the podium to endorse the former governor like David Jolly and Pam Bondi.

Some say Bush’s campaign was already a long-shot – at single digits in the polls — but that his lackluster debate performance last week sealed the deal.

Bush has a new book out today, Reply All.
