Memorial Day: Buffalo Soldiers and Military Issues

Patró Mabíli stands in front of a portrait of Charles Vann. He was a beloved WMNF jazz and blues DJ who passed away in 1996. He was interested in military history and the Buffalo Soldiers, the Army’s famous 19th century black cavalry.

The community weighed in on attitudes toward the U.S. military and recruitment. A discussion on using artificial intelligence to prevent suicide among military personnel and a short history and Commemoration of the famed Buffalo Soldiers.
