This weekend, ocean lovers and opponents of fossil fuels will join hands in the annual Hands Across the Sand series of rallies; there are five locations around the greater Tampa Bay region on Saturday. Two will be in Pinellas County: Gandy Beach and Indian Rocks Beach; one in Sarasota; another in Englewood Beach and a fifth at Weeki Wachee Springs.

For a preview of what to expect WMNF interviewed Thomas Paterek, chair of the Suncoast Surfrider Foundation.
