Share

Join Stageworks Theatre for this exciting behind the scenes look at Ready Steady Yeti Go. A panel of three talented crew members will provide perspectives on how they bring such a production to life. David Jocabi, the Playwright, will share his process of creating the play. Karla Hartley, the Artistic Director, will explain how producing this show fulfills Stageworks’ mission. Dan Granke, the Director of the play, will talk about his experiences working with the cast on a Rolling World Premiere.

About Ready Steady Yeti Go
In the aftermath of a hate crime, Goon befriends Carly Uhlenbeek, the only black girl in school. Things start to go south when bad parental advice, passive-aggressive acts, and ill-formed gestures of kindness create a “White Guilt Perfect Storm” that threatens to drown their relationship.

“This play is hugely theatrical, downright hilarious, and has great compassion for all of its young characters. A brilliant satire examining the ways in which even the most well-intentioned white folks working to stand up against racism can still perpetuate it.”
