PETA President Talks “Animalkind”

Share

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk will bring her speaking tour—based on her new book, “Animalkind”—to Tampa on Sunday, February 9th, at 2:00 p.m. Written in collaboration with bestselling “Forks Over Knives” author Gene Stone, Animalkind explores the richness of animals’ multifaceted lives and inspires readers to take action to protect them.

During her talk, Newkirk will share some insight from Animalkind, including an exploration of animal communication and the ways animals navigate their environments, the many ways our modern world is leaving animal exploitation in the dust, and easy steps that we can all take to help make the world a kinder place.

As Mayim Bialik notes in the book’s foreword, “Animalkind is a book that empowers readers with both the knowledge to understand who animals are while dispelling the notion of ‘what’ we assume animals are and the power to change the way the world treats them.”

Delicious vegan treats and beverages will be served immediately after her talk.
