Fogartyville is hosting the Southern Tour of Independent Filmmakers this year and one of the films featured is Breaking the News, which documents the launch of The 19th*, a digital news start-up founded by women and LGBTQ+ journalists to buck the status quo. It is scheduled to screen on Tuesday, February 20 at 7pm (Run time = 1 hr/39 min). Doors open at 6pm.
Director Chelsea Hernandez will be touring with the film and they will have a Q+A with her following the film.
WMNF Staff also plan to be in attendance. You can meet News Director Sean Kinane and GM Randi Zimmerman, maybe more!
