Betty Fox Band, plus AB+Positive

This event is a collaboration between WMNF Community Radio and Sweetwater Organic Community Farm and is a fundraiser for both organizations.

Betty Fox played publicly for the first time at Sweetwater Farm almost ten years ago – and has since become nationally recognized for her powerful and dynamic live performances. She brings her hot blues band for this special event.

AB+Postive is an up-and-coming young group with a soulful, folksy vibe and “songwriting and performance chops well beyond their years.” They have played Heatwave and many WMNF “tribute” shows. At Sweetwater they will play with the same full band that did a knockout set at the recent Paul McCartney birthday tribute.

Tickets are $15 advance, available on-line until noon on Saturday, 7/15 (no extra charges from wmnf.org) or $20 door. Wine and beer and food will be available for purchase.

Sweetwater Organic Community Farm is an urban farm located just northwest of Tampa International Airport off of Hillsborough Avenue. They offer several opportunities to become involved in urban agriculture through their CSA Membership program, Volunteer, Field Trip, or Sunday Market programs.
