5:15 -6:30pm Acme Jazz Garage Jazz, blues, funk, fusion and New Orleans R&B meet in the combustible sound of Acme Jazz Garage, featuring guitarist Matt Swenson, pianist/keyboardist Bryan Lewis, bassist Philip Booth and drummer Tim Diehl. with special guest singers are: Angela Washington, Liz Hollister and Shelby Barnes

The Florida-based band has played its eclectic, groove-driven music for receptive audiences at the Gasparilla Music Festival, Clearwater Jazz Holiday, WMNF Tropical Heatwave, Child of the Sun Jazz Festival, and many other festivals and venues.

6:30-7:00 Story time

7:00-8:15 Johnny G Lyon Band One of the most durable bands in Tampa history. Almost any venue in the bay area that has featured live music within the last 3 decades has hosted the JGLB (or its’ antecedents) at one time or another. JGLB has been named “Best Local Band” by the Tampa Tribune reader’s poll three times. JGLB produced the soundtrack for a series of promotional videos for Tampa’s WFTS Channel 28. They have also been the subject of feature stories on Newschannel 8 and on Channel 13.

JGLB is led by 60 year old Johnny G. Lyon, a lifelong professional musician. Although Johnny was raised in “Country Music Mecca” Nashville, he grew up loving rock and roll. Johnny learned guitar from a Nashville Blues Legend he remembers only as “P.I.” Johnny began performing at schools and community centers at age 10.

8:15-8:45 Story time

8:45-10 Vodkanauts Tampa Bay-based “power lounge” combo Vodkanauts work their magic in a musical parallel universe, simultaneously paying respectful tribute to musical masters while creating a soundtrack to a mid-to-late 20th century America that never quite was but should have been. Equally at home on a festival stage before a crowd of thousands or in an intimate nightclub setting, Vodkanauts excel at performing time-tested tunes with inventive arrangements, delivered with a heightened level of showmanship and crowd-pleasing energy.
