“Don’t Say Gay” settlement

Danielle Prieur, an education reporter for WMFE, provides insight into the settlement reached in Florida regarding the “Don’t Say Gay law,” formally known as the Parental Rights in Education law.

 NAACP recommends against Florida schools 

The NAACP has advised Black student-athletes to reconsider attending public colleges and universities in Florida, in response to schools like the University of Florida eliminating their diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

Florida redistricting

A non-profit advocacy group, along with current and former elected state leaders, have taken legal action against the redistricting of a black North Florida Congressional District WMNF’s Chris Young reports.

Solar co-ops

Residents of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties are now eligible to participate in new solar co-ops. Jimmy Rosilio of WMNF provides further details on this initiative.
