Tampa rally against white supremacy

A student group in Tampa is rallying Wednesday evening in solidarity with Black Lives Matter protesters in Minneapolis and against white supremacy; Students for a Democratic Society Tampa is holding what they say is an emergency rally calling for justice for Jamar Clark who was killed while being detained by Minneapolis Police. Two nights ago five protesters were shot.

WMNF News interviewed Sam Beutler with Students for a Democratic Society in Tampa.

Their rally begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gaslight Square Park in downtown Tampa.

Meanwhile, AP reports Wednesday mourners gathered at a Minneapolis church to pay their respects to Jamar Clark. State and federal officials are investigating his shooting death.
