On Midpoint Wednesday we heard an interview with  Dr. Aaron Duncan from the Department of Communication Studies at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Duncan recently penned an article that analysed a  study from Tivo on the TV watching habits of Trump supporters. The results of the poll showed the Trump supporters like crime dramas like NCIS and prefer to get their news from TV. Dr.Duncan argues that this creates a “mean-world syndrome”, in which viewers of crime media tend to see the world as a chaotic and violent place.
