The Tampa Tribune is gone, but its building along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa still remains … for now; but soon it will be demolished to make room for a condominium. The local Audubon society worked with the developer and the city to make sure bird roosting habitat on the property would be protected.

WMNF News’ Seán Kinane spoke with Ann Paul, the regional coordinator with Audubon Florida, along the Tampa Riverwalk across the river from the trees where dozens of birds roost at night.
