Douglas Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, will appear Friday in Miami for a discussion about abortion rights, the White House announced Wednesday.

A media advisory did not include full details but said Emhoff will “host a roundtable with community leaders and students about the importance of male allyship amid the reproductive health care crisis created by the Supreme Court’s overruling of Roe v. Wade.”

Emhoff also is expected to appear at a reception for the Biden Victory Fund, a political committee supporting President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign, according to the announcement.
