Performance at USF reflects on Arab-American experience after 9/11

“Spoken word meets Middle Eastern music” is how a performance scheduled for Monday night at USF, Tampa is billed.

But there’s also a heavy dose of political commentary based on the Arab American experience during the post-9/11 so-called “War on Terror.”

Last week WMNF interviewed Andrea Assaf, the artistic director of Art2Action, about her performance Monday night called Eleven Reflections on September.
