Story of Stuff

Share

On today’s Sustainable Living program we started with a short interview with the founder of the Sustany Foundation, David Reed, about their efforts to create a more sustainable Tampa Bay. He also talked about their big event of the year, the Sustainable Buzz, happening on November 13 in Tampa. For the rest of the show we talked about Stuff and The Story of Stuff Project with Allison Cook, their Director of Community Engagement. In 2007 Annie Leonard produced a 20-minute movie about the way we make, use, and throw away Stuff. Since then Annie’s cartoon about trash has been viewed more than 40 million times worldwide. Today if you go to their website there are many different topics covered, from bottled water to the Citizens United Amendment Project. These are amazingly simple videos that cover important topics that effect us all!
