Recycling and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful on the Sustainable Living Program

Share

On Monday’s Sustainable Living Program we talked about recycling and other environmental topics.

Our guests were the Executive Director for Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful, Debbie Evenson, and their Development Manager, Emily Schwartz; Travis Barn, the Recycling Coordinator with Hillsborough County Public Works Department; and Jason LeBlanc, General Manager with Conex Recycling also helped with the program.

Debbie and Emily talked about all the programs that Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful heads up and their next big event, the Coastal Clean Up in September.  Travis talked about residential recycling and Jason covered recycling at businesses and other institutions.

Just a reminder – Do NOT put plastic bags, plastic film or plastic wrap in your recycling bin! They gum up the recycling works. If they are clean they can be recycled at most grocery stores.
