Uhurus oppose Pinellas Schools plan for assault rifles for school police

A plan by the Pinellas County School District to acquire assault rifles for campus police is coming under fire from the black community.

Friday morning the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement held a press conference in front of the Pinellas County School Board building to criticize further weaponizing schools.

Afterward, WMNF spoke by phone with their local president, Chimurenga Waller.
