update, 5 December 2014: Mariella Smith tells us:

Not a single one of the ten members of Florida’s Acquisition and Restoration Council (ARC) showed up for their twice-yearly “Regional Public Meeting”

If you’re concerned about which environmentally sensitive lands in Florida should be protected with funds from recently passed Amendment 1, there’s a little known meeting where you can state your case; it’s Tuesday afternoon in Bradenton and there won’t be another meeting in the region this year.

Florida’s Acquisition and Restoration Council is meeting at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bradenton City Hall at 101 Old Main Street.

To find out more, WMNF interviewed Mariella Smith, an executive committee member with the Sierra Club.
