Today Host Rob Lorei talks with two Tampa area workers who just returned from a trip to Brazil to testify at a global hearing on the working conditions of McDonald’s workers from all over the world. Bleu Rainer, a McDonald’s employee for three years, and Nadaije Pail Jajoute, a childcare worker and wage advocate, are part of the fight for 15 movement for an minimum wage increase to 15 dollars per hour. The hearing they attended in Brazil was part of a task force set up by the Brazilian government to investigate alleged workplace and wage violations by the Mcdonald’s Corporation within their country. They are joined by labor organizer Kelly Benjamin to talk about the hearing and their ongoing work for fight for 15.
