The mayors of the Tampa Bay region’s two largest cities agree that transportation is a huge issue and roads shouldn’t be the only solution; Tampa’s Bob Buckhorn and St. Pete’s Rick Kriseman spoke Friday at the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club.

Mayor Kriseman has a new plan to try to keep the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg – and now he has buy-in from the baseball team and from a majority of his city council. Kriseman was asked where the Rays might move.

Kriseman joked that when Mayor Buckhorn becomes Florida governor, Kriseman could be Lieutenant Governor. Buckhorn left open the possibility that he would run for Governor when his final term as mayor is up.
