On Monday’s WMNF Sustainable Living program we talked about permaculture and the up-coming Florida Permaculture Convergence with one of the organizers of the Convergence, Wendell Martinkovic .

Wendell and his wife own and operate a permaculture-based farm near Lake Panosofkee .

Also, we had a Pinellas County Fair farm update with Pamela Sindlinger, with Gateway Organic CSA Farm in Pinellas.  Pam updated us on Gateway’s transitioning to perennials and fruit trees–sounds like permaculture!

It was nice to have four of the presenters to call in during the show: Judi Gulko, Jenny Nazak, Loretta Buckner and Jungle Jay.

Wendell really was a great guest on the topic of permaculture and we want to thank him for the donation of passes to the convergence for pledges to WMNF!  I’m hoping that you will make plans to attend this year’s Convergence taking place at Sustainable Kasni, Sebastain Florida.
