We will try to update this over the next couple of days as Tropical Storm Hurricane Tropical Storm Hermine moves through our listening area. Hermine was the first hurricane to make landfall in Florida since 2005, crashing through St. Marks around 1:30am. It is bringing buckets and buckets of rain with it. Flooding remains a concern. Flood warnings were issued for Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, Sarasota counties. Tropical Storm warnings have been issued for the Tampa Bay area. About 150,000 lost power, with maybe 2/3s now restored.fri radar map storm

Hillsborough  & Pinellas schools are closed on Thursday and Friday, September 1 & 2.
Pasco School system will also be closed on Friday.

Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 79. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east southeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
