Local progressive Muslim activist speaks out on tragic shooting in France.

Today, we hear local responses to yesterday’s horrific massacre of 12 people in Paris at the offices of french satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo by suspected radical islamists. We first listen to reports of the shootings from French government-run television service France 24. Laila Abdelaziz, local progressive activist and Muslim-American, then offers her perspective on the tragedy and answers listeners’ questions.
