Scott Jacobs is with Jacobs Engineering,  the consulting group leading the Regional Transit Feasibility Plan in the Tampa Bay area.

Two weeks ago, his group unveiled to the public a proposed 41-mile Bus Rapid Transit project that would run from Wesley Chapel in Pasco County down to St.Petersburg.

The total cost for the I-275/BRT project would range between $380-$455 million, and would take approximately five years to build if approved by local lawmakers.
